Clearfield MMG

Clearfield MMG, a waste management business, reached out to Harlan Construction to build their new facility in Petersburg, VA. There are (4) buildings on this site. The first building is a wood framed office building, measuring 60’ x 40’, on a concrete slab with exterior finishes of split faced masonry, Hardie board siding, PVC trim accents, and a dimensionally shingled roof. The interior is split into two sections, a customer section and an internal office staff section. The work that went into finishing the inside consists of carpet, VCT, ACT, painted drywall, doors/frames/hardware, (2) kitchenettes, mechanical, electrical, plumbing. The second building is the main building, measuring 175’ x 62’-2”,  which is where the waste is initially brought in and mixed with another material so it can be properly disposed of. This is a pre-engineered metal building on a concrete slab. In this building there are vertical concrete walls and a 25’ x 20’ concrete pit. The third building is the washout building, measuring 60’ x 50’, which is used to clean the trucks that bring waste into the facility. This building is a pre-engineered metal building on a sloped concrete slab with vertical dividing walls and vertical concrete side walls. The fourth and final building, measuring 125’ x 60’, is the drum storage building which is pre-engineered metal on a concrete slab. This building doubly functions as storage and a mechanic’s shop.
